- Getting tough on economic crime – e.g the annual £1.27 billion lost to fraud, bribery, and corruption in the NHS, and 25% of public procurement funds lost to corruption each year
- New Transparency Law for overseas companies ownership of UK property
- Ban paid lobbying by sitting MPs
- Introduce a register of Think Tanks and their funders
- Introduce Ethics in Public Life legislation, to address ‘the revolving doors’ between public officials who move between the public, political and private sectors. Implement a two-year wait for senior staff between working in the government, regulator or public body and taking a job in the private or political sectors.
