It’s been a lively time in politics with strikes across the public sector, post service, rail workers and it seems nothing actually works anymore for the public. Weak Rishi Sunak started off employing the wrong ministers, some of whom have gone and others are under investigation. It seems they are more interested in their party than running the country for everyone. None more so than Ester Mcvey who criticises her own government with extreme views. It gets to the stage after 6 years that Esther and her husband are more worried about their future careers than caring for constituents.
I’ve met up and asked people about issues in the area, and a lot are more worried about their struggles with local issues including hospitals, policing, cost of living. Hopefully inflation will fall without any false promises from Rishi Sunak and that will lead to lower costs and mortgages. People have also mentioned other local issues, including potholes, parking and historic council issues. Others mentioned Avanti rail and Tatton park opening longer throughout the year. As the weather improves I’m hoping to get to see more people and would be great to get a base to meet up and organise leaflet dropping. As more join through the area, which is going well, we can spread the word.
