Spring at last seems to be with us. Early flowers are bursting into bloom and the longer nights of winter are getting further behind us.

Over the winter the True & Fair Party have been holding events, listening to ordinary people and developing our policies, we’ve been busy nurturing the spread of our roots across the country. 

We must all be ready to bloom whenever the much-needed General Election is finally called.

Last week I attended an ‘all things road’ meeting held by the local council in Marlborough Town Hall, hot topics there included speeding, air quality, congestion, the state of public transport and safety. A huge number of concerns were raised, with many pertinent points, suggestions and requests for action coming from the knowledgeable audience. I’d guess these issues hardly come as any kind of shock to locals of Marlborough, but I dare these concerns resonate right across East Wiltshire. We must all come together to urge the local council to match promises with practical actions.

Across East Wiltshire our own plans are taking shape too, much groundwork and planning has been done during the winter months. I am pleased to report the first public constituency event is now booked:

On 15th April between 10:30-13:30 I shall be holding a drop in ‘meet the candidate’ event at the Sports and Social Club in Avebury.

Along with the open invitation sent to all those living in the immediate area, I would be delighted to extend this invitation to you too.

As a valued party member and/or registered supporter, it is fantastic to know you are already on board with our party’s aims, it would be fantastic to see you in Avebury, on what will hopefully prove to be a lovely spring day.

The village has plenty to offer for a weekend day out if you’re wondering what to do after 13:30!

Likewise, if you would like to get involved in future canvassing sessions, leaflet dropping, or any other way with my campaign efforts around the constituency in future, please just drop me an email and I’ll let you know where and when I plan to be out and about and look forward to your support, many hands make light work!
