As 2022 draws to an end, there is an understandable emotional exhaustion in terms of the political, economic and cost-of-living chaos we have endured in the UK.
Much of the blame for this chaos can be laid at the door of Tory incompetence, the systemic failures in our machinery of government and democratic deficits. Accountability has been a major casualty of the crises we have endured. True & Fair believes that unless remedied by new legislative accountability, we run the risk of our democracy dying.
Simply preparing for the political pendulum to swing the other way resulting in a Labour landslide will not fix these deficits, result in better, more accountable politics, or address the excessive powers that now sit in the hands of a very few Ministers in the Executive.
We are at a tipping point in the UK, and True & Fair are the only party focussed on strengthening the weaknesses in our constitutional structures and institutions, cleaning up politics and fighting corruption.
In 2023, we need to bring these messages to the disenfranchised, politically homeless and those who believe we need to speak truth to power to ensure a sustainable, better political and policy future.
Over this much-needed holiday break, as you spend time with family, friends and loved ones, please think about sharing our work. This must be a joint project demanding a collective effort that gets our country to a brighter, better, more hopeful future for all.
Keep warm and happy holidays,
True & Fair Party
